LC-MS/MS Course at NYS DCJS (September 27-28)

Dr. Michael Coyer will be presenting extraction methods and applications (UCT) at the forthcoming LC-MS/MS course organized in collaboration with DCJS (NYS). As UCT is at the forefront of development of SPE analytical materials for Forensic Toxicology laboratories using both GC-MS and Tandem Mass Spectrometry, Dr.Coyer will be explaining the high quality extractions that can be performed using UCT's world renowned products.

UCT's SPE sorbents have been widely recognized in the field of LC-MS/MS as giving lower matrix effects, limits of detection, and quantification when applied to biological samples such as post mortem specimens. UCT is always happy to collaborate with agencies such as DCJS in order to advance the education of forensic scientists to not only understand the science of SPE but to advance their techniques in the isolation, identification, and quantification of drugs/ metabolites in biological samples. Presently, the Clean Screen® and Styre Screen® solid phase extraction columns are used in New York State in Medical Examiners and Crime Laboratory settings. This meeting, with its emphasis on applications of LC-MS/MS, will demonstrate the wide range of analyses that can performed on UCT materials, supported by Dr.Coyer's presentation on extraction techniques.
