UCT Specialties adhesives and coatings
If you’re having trouble getting your adhesive or coating to stick to a difficult substrate, then UCT Specialties has the solution to your problem. We manufacture an extensive line of high quality organosilanes for use as adhesion promoters/coupling agents for a wide variety of substrates including glass, ceramics, precious metals and both thermoplastic and thermoset materials. Organosilanes are also used to modify a substrates critical surface tension to improve wettability or to create hydrophobic or hydrophilic surfaces. Please see our ad in the 2012 ASI Buyers’ Guide and visit us at booth # 307 at the ASC EXPO this April in Denver, Colorado.

Nobel Prize in Chemistry
As the 2010 Nobel Prize (Chemistry) has just been announced, UCT would like to offer congratulations to Prof. Heck from the University of Delaware for his pioneering work in the field of Palladium chemistry. Professor Heck was one of the teachers of Dr. Wayne King (Synthesis Section - UCT Specialities) whilst he was at the university. Dr. King went on from this institution to develop his skills in the area of Silane Chemsitry, and is now a integral part of UCT Specialty Chemical Section which offers the highest quality Silanes and Organosilanes (including derivatizing reagents (BSTFA/MTBSTA) to the scientific community world wide.
