Florida Pesticide Residue Workshop 2010 a huge success!

With over 275 attendees, FPRW 2010 was the biggest ever! Mike Telepchak’s talk on “QuEChERS and Beyond” was attended by over 130 and was well received. Mike’s talk focused on the chemistry behind QuEChERS and SPE in general. The section on “all C18 is not same” helped many to resolve unanswered questions.

UCT customers Jonathan V. Pelt and Amy Brown of the Chemical Residue Laboratory – Division of Food Safety, Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, won first place in the poster contest for their poster “For the Love of Bees” A Rapid Multi-residue Analysis of Pesticides in Honey using a buffered Acetonitrile extraction and dispersive clean-up.
